Our Mission

To honor our cultures and share the joy and vibrancy of dance with our community.

Our History

In 1997 West Side Dance’s founder gathered a small group of youth who shared her passion for traditional ballet folklorico and their community of West Salt Lake City, Utah. Since then the group has made a mark in Utah by mentoring dancers through almost two decades and proving that their talent and dedication can bring traditional dances to Utah. Their dedication has allowed them to dance at prestigious events such as the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Hispanic Fiesta Days, Westfest, Hispanic- American Festival, Living Traditions and many more. The group also participates in many community service projects such as yard care for the elderly, preparing and serving over 500 sandwiches to the homeless, clothing and food drives, and much more.
